The American College of Surgeons (ACS) and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) have united their two accreditation programs, the ACS Bariatric Surgery Center Network (BSCN) and the ASMBS Bariatric Surgery Centers of Excellence (BSCOE), respectively. First designated in 2006, Spartanburg Regional Weight Loss Services continues to meet the standards under the separate programs and will be extended accreditation in a new joint program.
This means that Weight Loss Services has completed a rigorous certification process that ensures every patient experiences the highest possible quality of care. Spartanburg Regional offers a comprehensive, multidisciplinary program for both surgical and medical treatments for morbid obesity. Together, Spartanburg Regional physicians and medical professionals work to improve the overall quality of life for weight loss patients and their families by providing the most complete, high-quality medical, surgical and follow-up care possible.
