Spartanburg Regional to open new Immediate Care Center

SPARTANBURG, SC—Spartanburg Regional announced that it will open an “Immediate Care Center” on Spartanburg’s Eastside. The Immediate Care Center will offer patients the convenience of walk-in medical care with extended hours and operate seven days a week.

The new state of the art facility will be led by a group of experienced physicians, nurses, technicians and support staff. The Immediate Care Center will offer a convenient option for patients to be seen seven days a week without appointments and offer early morning and evening hours. Unlike most walk-in or “urgent” care centers in the Upstate, the Immediate Care Center could also function as a patient’s regular medical home.

An experienced team of board-certified physicians and support staff will be on hand to care for frequently treated illnesses and injuries such as:  sprains and fractures, cuts and lacerations, eye injuries, rashes and burns, cold and flu symptoms, animal and insect bites, ear infections and sore throats. A community education room will also be available for interactive sessions on topics ranging from nutrition to diabetes and heart care.

Currently under construction, the Immediate Care Center-Eastside is located at 1200 East Main Street in Spartanburg and will open in early April 2013.
